We sold ‘Parable’ about 5 years ago but it remains one of my favourite pieces. A huge oil on panel in 2 pieces, it was painted by Tom Wood in 1993/4 in the aftermath and during the emotional fallout of his mother’s death. It’s meaning and message is, as with so many of the great works of the past, ambiguous and contemplative.
