Enquire / Make an OfferA mystery. I’ve always been intrigued by this piece entitled ‘Temple Meads Station’. It was in amongst a large body of work bought a few years ago. The artist: A.M.C. Lovell I believe was from the West Country which would explain the Bristol Station subject matter. From the ‘Young Contemporaries’ Exhibition label on the back he or she was clearly studying at the Slade and living in Camden Town. Believed to be late ‘50’s or early ‘60’s, I was told at the time that they thought it was by an artist called Maurice Lovell, but I’m starting to wonder if it isn’t a painting by the acclaimed sculptor Margaret Lovell…
